LEGO Universe announced that the creative MMO had entered Closed Beta, the final stage before launch. Here the LEGO team invite players to join the test and help to improve the game. Every player can sign up to be a tester now. By the way, the number of testers is limited.

According to the developers, the game's features "set it apart from other massively multiplayer online games". You are able to use your creativity to build your LEGO world. The first creation you'll build upon entering LEGO Universe will be your own custom LEGO minifigure. You become your minifigure in the game. As you play in LEGO Universe, you'll be able to further enhance your character's appearance and abilities as you collect, earn, build and trade for tons of cool accessories. You may be able to smash other players characters but remember that PvP is not the game's core. It's not just a game for kids because adults also love LEGOs!
